With the release of 0.1.0.0, Project 4 now has the foundations of a story to build on, and lots more polish.
Added:
- There is now an experimental Debian package for Linux users
- 20 new planet sprites
- Stations can now spawn with hyphenated last names (for example, Johnson-Borwick Orbital)
- Completely new market GUIs
- You can use CTRL and SHIFT to change how many items are being moved
- Jumpgates now cause a day of in-game time to elapse
- Opt-in analytics system
- Hailing other ships
- Ship definitions are moddable
- A deep-space encounter with a mysterious asteroid…
Changed:
- Saves are now stored in your userdata folder for easy upgrading.
- The background art now tiles properly
- Earth-like planets can no longer spawn randomly
- Planets now have more variation in size and rarity
- Stars look somewhat passable now
- AUs are now 5 times larger
Fixed:
- Fabrication jobs delivering to the wrong inventory
- The scanline effect no longer gets “stuck” when the window is resized
- Clickthrough in the settings menu
- Double-interactions with jumpgates
